Following in the footsteps of the Tiger I, the U.S. M4 Sherman also makes its way to Tamiya's 1/48 MM series. While compact in size, this highly detailed 1/48 M4 Sherman replica can truly hold its own against larger scale models, with heavy die-cast lower hull accurately capturing the power and presence of the real thing.
About the M4 Sherman Early Production
With approximately 50,000 units produced during WWII, the U.S. Army's series of M4 Sherman tanks were one of the driving forces behind Allied victory. Designed for efficient mass production and including room for future modifications, the M4 series boasted superior ground performance with excellent reliability. Amongst the many variants produced, the early production M4 featured an angular shaped welded hull, a cast turret loaded with a 75mm M3 cannon and a 350hp air-cooled gasoline engine. The M4 Sherman saw action in North Africa and throughout Europe, including serving in the Normandy and Italian campaigns.
Die-cast lower hull allows you for the first time to get a true sense of the weight of the Sherman. For an easy finish, the die-cast lower hull comes pre-applied with primer. For added accuracy, model features finely detailed interlocking plastic tracks with straight upper and lower sections molded as single pieces.

1/48 scale assembly model of the early production M4 Sherman. Overall length: 119mm Surface texture and imperfections including weld marks on chassis and smooth cast turret accurately reproduced. Die-cast chassis for extra weight and enhanced realism. Assembly type tracks, with straight upper and lower tracks made of single piece. Comes with decals for 3 different markings.
Delivery
United Kingdom Delivery
We endeavour to process all orders same working day. Orders between £0.00 and £149.99 will be charged from £3.95 for Standard Delivery (2-5 working days) with Royal Mail. Standard Delivery for orders £150.00 or more will be delivered free of charge by Royal Mail.
Orders can be upgraded to Royal Mail 1st Class (1-2 working days) for just £5.99, or to Next Working Day Delivery with DPD Local for £11.95.
Next working day delivery is only available for UK Mainland. Islands, Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands will need to select a Royal Mail Service as we are unable to offer a next day service to these areas.
Aerosols and certain glues can only be shipped by courier and so will attract an extra charge, each item will be highlighted, and courier postage charged as standard.
Orders placed between Friday at 1pm and Sunday evening will be dispatched the following Monday. We are closed on Wednesday so orders placed after 2pm Tuesday will be dispatched on Thursday. All goods are subject to availability and all delivery dates are approximate. Please take into consideration when ordering from us that we reserve the right to charge for any re-delivery attempt and return to sender charges.
Worldwide Delivery
We endeavour to process all orders same working day. All orders will be charged a minimum rate of £24.95, delivered by Royal Mail Air Mail as standard. Large orders will be dispatched by courier, where extra postage is due, we will contact you and advise. Insurance is not included but is required on high value items.
